2. The author uses a language of violence

"Look at that mountain. Who gives them the right to come in and blow it away?"

This is a quote from the article. As you can see this quote is very angry and has voilence in it.

"Every time Massey Energy sets up a blast, a wind farm loses megawatts,"

This is a quote from the article. As you can see this quote is violent.

I pointed out these two quotes because they show that Deborah Feyerick is using language of violence. Meaning she is not happy with what is happening in the battle over coal river mountain. Deborah is showing her emotions by writing these quotes.

Advantages and trade offs of this type of mining

The advantages off this type of mining is finding many things in the coral river mountain and trading them for other things. However, there is a right way and a wrong way to mine coal. The right way is not to harm any animals or pollute the air. The wrong way is taking animals away from their homes and leaving them homeless. Also, cutting off trees is another wrong way to mine coal. The reason why is because the more tree cut off, the less oxygen and clean air there is in the air to breathe and survive with.

IV.

Sustainable development is a way of business that is good for the environment. It is not only good for the environment but also for the people it wouldn’t destroy there houses.  The alternative for mountain top is wind power. They don’t have wind power because only rich people live there and they want to get money. So a cheaper way to the do it I to blow up mountain tops. No only is it fast but saves the government a lot of money. I think they should be more sustainable about what they are doing because it is polluting the environment. Also it is killing people if they are doing something they should do it in a deserted place.

       V.    Conclusion:

In my opinion I think the government should use a more sustainable way. The way that they are using is very dangerous and unhealthy. If they waist more money it is going to be safer for the community.
